Project Description:
In this project, Wayne, Holmes and Ashland Counties will be cooperating on a
regional level to assess the impact of county policies on agriculture and land
use. After completing a thorough policy audit, they plan to present
strategies for mitigating any negative impacts on agriculture to county
commissioners. This process will begin in Wayne County and will then be
replicated in both Holmes and Ashland Counties. They will be reviewing
policies that are generally not considered as related to agriculture and land
use, including subdivision regulations, water use policies, health department
regulations and engineering codes.
