8th ANNUAL OHIO FARMLAND PRESERVATION SUMMIT:
Growing Our Economy through Agriculture

On November 1st, 2007, the Ohio Department of Agriculture hosted the eighth annual Ohio Farmland Preservation Summit in Reynoldsburg - the largest ever!  The sessions focused on growing your local economy through food and agriculture, and planning for agriculture. Lunch and snacks for the conference were provided by Northstar Café which purchases more than 25% locally grown ingredients and more than 50% organic ingredients.  In addition, all plate and silverware were were composted by Tom Price of Price Farms Organics.
